Building Brighter Futures, Together

Our Origin Story
How It All Began
For over two decades, our founder built his career in the business world, finding success in logistics and international trade. Yet, despite professional achievements, there was a persistent pull toward something more meaningful. Having witnessed firsthand the stark disparities in the regions he travelled to for work—the resilience of communities in East Africa and the untapped potential of children in the Middle East—he knew he couldn't simply remain a bystander.
In 2004, a single visit to an informal settlement changed everything. Seeing the direct impact that even the smallest, most coordinated effort could have on a family’s survival, the idea for Noor Relief Fund was born. It wasn't about building a massive corporate machine; it was about building a bridge of trust between those who want to help and those who need it most. He left his corporate role not with a clear map, but with a promise to do this properly.

Trust is Our Primary Currency
We are honest about our costs. A small portion of donations goes towards administration, staff, and generating further income. We do not claim a 100% donation policy because honesty matters more than a marketing headline. For every £1 we receive, around 11p goes towards raising further funds, effectively multiplying your donation.
We keep you informed. Every donor receives project reports. Orphan sponsors receive personal updates with photographs every 6 to 12 months.
We are registered and regulated. NRF is registered with the Charity Commission in England and Wales and the Fundraising Regulator.
